The Eaton Gorge Theatre Company operates as a performing company.
EGTC has worked with many companies and organisations to produce theatrical experiences that have met a variety of objectives. Including:

  • Educational performances for children dealing with a variety of issues including waste
    reduction to landfill, recycling, closing the food loop, marine debris, climate change,
    childhood obesity, water conservation, and Ecological Footprints.

  • Working with actors with disabilities at Greenacres, Headway and LWB

  • Educational messages for corporations.

  • Production and writing of support materials for scientific and environmental educational programmes.

  • Festival and event entertainment to meet event themes eg Environmental and scientific based characters.

  • Drama workshops for Schools, Community groups, Drama Companies and Government agencies.

  • Drama Student tutoring both in classes and one on one.

  • Shakespeare Productions in the Botanic Gardens

JULIET SCRINE

CEO (Chief Executive Officer)

 

Juliet Scrine has over 30 years experience in theatre, television and radio and is a sort after speaker and trainer locally, nationally and internationally. Juliet has produced and directed various events including Shellharbour City's Carols By Candlelight, Spring into Corrimal, Glebe St Fair and The Olympic Torch Relay. Juliet has directed many theatre productions throughout the Illawarra such as Shakespeare in the Gardens Merry Wives of Windsor (2013) & The Tempest (2014) and The Government Inspector (Wollongong Workshop Theatre). She has devised and performed issue based dramas in every Australian capital city and overseas at the International Drama and Education Association conference in Brazil in 2010. Some of her acting credits include Abigail (The Crucible), Bianca (Taming Of The Shrew) and Amanda (The Glass Menagerie). She has also appeared on television in Home and Away and various commercials with WIN TV, i98fm, ABC Radio and Wave FM. Juliet has taught drama and entertainment workshops at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, Wollongong High School Of The Performing Arts, The Illawarra Grammar School, Greenacres and Headway.

IAN McCOLM

(Operations Manager)

 

Ian has been involved in the entertainment industry for the past 25 years as a performer, administrator, director and writer. He has completed several short courses at NIDA and was trained in Theatresports by Lyn Pierce competing in the Cranston Cup at the Belvoir Street Theatre for 3 seasons. Ian has taught theatresports and improvisation classes at the University of Wollongong, The Illawarra Grammar School, Wollongong High School Of The Performing Arts, St Marys Star of the Sea, Shoalhaven Youth Centre as well as for corporate organisations. His directing credits include Shakespeare in the Gardens Twelfth Night (2012), So Here I Am at the Wollongong Workshop Theatre (WWT) and As You Like It (2015) EGTC's first touring outdoor Shakespeare. Ian has directed, written and performed in dozens of childrens plays which have toured festivals, schools and major events including Tapstar Saves Water, The King & Queen of Green's Realm of Rubbish Show and The Take Away Bellies. Ian's other acting credits include Small Poppies (WWT), Hedda Gabler (SPAT), Merry Wives of Windsor (EGTC) and television appearances on Water Rats, A Difficult Women, Tricky Business, Fireflies, Comedy Inc, Breakers, All Saints as well as numerous national and international commercials and short films.
