King and Queen of Green
The King & Queen of Green have travelled around Australia performing and giving workshops at schools, festivals and events educating audiences about reducing waste to landfill by using composting, recycling and worm farms. The King and Queen also do meet and greets at events and are a joy for both children and adults alike. Loud and bubbly their majesties the King and Queen are the perfect addition to your next event or festival.
The King and Queen of Green Realm of Rubbish live performance, was one of the many projects included in the successful application which saw Shoalhaven City Council awarded the prestigious United Nations Association of Australia, World Environment Day Awards 2014. Shoalhaven City Council won the Overall Excellence in Environmental Management category and was a finalist against Randwick Council. Shoalhaven City Council has one of the lowest rate bases in NSW while Randwick has one of the highest. The UNAA is a national award and attracted entries from all over Australia.

The Realm of Rubbish deals with how to reduce waste, investigating the purchase of products with nature’s package and exploring the importance of composting. The Preschool Show demonstrates the value of chooks, composting and
worm farms.
PURPOSE:
To raise awareness of environmental issues including pollution and landfill and how we can reduce our negative impact on the environment.
